If you do not find the answer to your question below, please contactLinda Holmes at linda.holmes@arts.ucla.edu

There are many ways to enjoy this year’s virtual commencement and  no need to download any application or platform to view or participate in this ceremony. It will be streaming live on the home page of this website and on the UCLA Arts YouTube Channel.

Friends and family who are physically with their graduates at the time of commencement can also join alongside their graduates in Zoom as they participate in the ceremony. We respectfully request that graduates not share these Zoom links, however, with any family or friends who will not be joining them in the same physical space for the ceremony.

The Zoom links to attend the 2021 virtual commencement ceremony will be shared closer to the date of commencement.

Graduating students should fill out this online form to submit their required materials to the commencement committee. The submission deadline has been extended to Friday, June 4 at 5 p.m. We will continue to accept submissions after that date, but cannot guarantee that they will be included on the site in time for the ceremony on June 12.

The UCLA Store offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral regalia and ancillary items for sale now. Students can have orders shipped or request in-store pickup, or purchase items at our Graduation Etc. store in Ackerman.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still very much present, the health and safety of our entire community remains a top priority. In accordance with University of California President Michael Drake’s recommendation, commencement ceremonies at UCLA will continue to be virtual this year so that all graduates, loved ones, faculty, staff and others can participate safely.

We are committed to holding an in-person celebration for the UCLA Arts Class of 2021 when it is safe to join together again and we are permitted to do so. Notifications will be sent to all graduates and this website will be updated once we are able to confirm a date for an in-person celebration.

This section will be updated regularly, please check back for additional information.

In addition to virtual commencement, and in response to input from students, the university will provide an opportunity for all 2021 UCLA graduates, regardless of school or college affiliation, to participate in an in-person graduate stage-crossing at Drake Stadium. The event will include a reading of the student’s name and professional photography.

Participation will likely come with restrictions, such as a negative test result for a COVID-19 test within 24-72 hours prior to the processionals OR confirmation of full vaccination at least 14 days prior to the event.

Recognitions will take place over the course of several days beginning the weekend of June 11. Additional dates may be added to accommodate more graduates.

Accommodations will be made for students with disabilities to participate in the processional stage-crossing experience. There will be accessible routes to both venues, and as part of the student registration process (including registering with the UCLA Center for Accessible Education), accommodations will be made if an attendant or support animal is needed. If an attendant is needed, the attendant must adhere to the same requirements of testing or vaccination and wearing a face covering.

There is no cost to the student for participating in this stage crossing event. More information, including how to sign up for a time slot, can be found on the UCLA Commencement website FAQ page.

The School of the Arts and Architecture will not be sponsoring or hosting any student or student group organized celebrations on campus. Please refer to the campus commencement FAQ for further information.
